Academic and Technical Challenge
The Appalachian State University is popular for holding small classes that employ innovative teaching techniques. Part of the quest for academic excellence is adapting to a world full of advancements in technology and rising in interconnections. Add to this, the fact that academic institutions have increasing awareness of the worrying state of the natural environment, and because of this, methods that will help to sustain the environment and adapt to the changing times are being utilized. This includes maximizing the use of the Internet and learning materials that are published in electronic format.
Kami Rises Up to the Challenge
Bret Zawilski is an assistant professor at the Appalachian State University. He was searching for a way to annotate PDF files using his Wacom tablet that would suit his work process of responding to student drafts and papers well. He tried several other programs, but those did not offer the right export features and did not allow “writing directly” on the PDF file. He did a thorough search on the internet and finally found Kami. Since the campus operates on Google accounts, Kami’s ability to be integrated into Google Drive did wonders for his job. Commenting and exporting annotated PDF files became easier and faster.
Ever since he started using Kami, he has been utilizing the application every day to check the drafts and reports of his students. The features that he commonly uses are drawing in freehand and saving the files to his Google Drive. What he likes most about it is that the application is efficient, powerful, and convenient. Kami is the perfect match for his workflow and has not given him any problems. Kami is now something he highly recommends to his colleagues.
Why Kami is a Very Useful Tool for Academics
The methods of teaching used by academic institutions all over the world have drastically evolved from the usual blackboard style to the highly innovative and contemporary teaching styles today. Kami fills the gap between the skills of the faculty and the level of technology being utilized nowadays.
Kami was developed to be simple, clean, and intuitive so that users will not have a hard time trying to learn the application. Its ability to be connected to Google Drive remains a huge selling point since it enables students and professors to communicate better. Files can be edited, saved, and shared anytime and anywhere they are. This gives room for collaborative learning, which serves as a powerful tool for maximizing the learning experiences of the students.
